DOLCE & GABBANA Collection

To showcase their Spring/Summer 2013 collection, the renowned Milanese luxury brand Dolce & Gabbana wanted an Italian retro theme that evoked a nostalgic Sicilian summer.


For their 2012 Spring/Summer collection, Dolce & Gabbana wanted to enhance the brand’s DNA and reflect their ‘Dolce Vita and Italian cinema era’ inspired advertising campaign. We created a fully flash website using images shot in Southern Italy with a special focus on family. When landing on the website, it was important to immediately get the look and feel of the luxurious Sicilian lifestyle and environment. To evoke this, I contrasted the product gallery with images and animated backgrounds of nature and Italian architecture.

Seasonal Refresh

For the 2013 seasonal refresh, I focused on the well-executed campaign shot by photographer Giampaolo Sgura. The characters Bianca Balti and Monica Bellucci, soak up the sun in Dolce & Gabbana's Italian life orientated images. Shot in Southern Italy, the images are all about family with a lively depiction of weekend activities. Wearing Dolce’s outdoor market inspired oversize prints, lace detailing and sultry shapes, Monica and Bianca live it up in the picturesque setting. Designed around the user and fashion season, we created a new menu that allows quick movement between content, as well as intelligent linking to relevant products and topics.
